Talking bout TOS 6 (final…. for now)
After the fallout from Attack Helicopter, the forums have been in a bit of disarray, there are constant threads about what is and isn’t acceptable, people pointing out how the rules seem to been forced more on the feelings of whatever mod in particular saw it, more than the letter of the actual rules, what constitutes “low effort” or what the definition of “is” is. Once again, some of these threads are missing. In fact, some of the threads threads i’m about to present in their entirety are currently gone. These are the threads that apparently warranted the banning of almost all of the baddesthacks admins. A thread wherein a user starts off with an attack, asking why “adult content” is allowed in the form of “vulgar hacks” pulling the old “think of the children” gambit:

And a thread where someone simply asks “So what exactly is Baddest Hacks all about?”:

http://archive.is/3yvgT
http://archive.is/aQ8lK
http://archive.is/e1Mow
http://archive.is/9vKgH
http://archive.is/hQ2mf
In both threads you can watch attack after attack launched at the baddesthacks crew, who are left to defend themselves, and once again called every name in the book for doing so. It would take too long to document or screenshot all of the abuse, so i leave these threads for your perusal. One user was banned for “posting pornography” that we believe may have been a screenshot of a hack that is currently hosted on RHDN. Another was given a ban notice so long that it actually cuts off mid sentence, for things that never happened according to their post history, though there is honestly no way of knowing just what has been deleted due to the moderators whims. A third was banned, with his ban referencing things that had happened months ago, that at the time only earned him a temporary ban.
In conclusion we are left with what the evidence presents. A site full of easily offended elitists, who like to pretend how tolerant they are while only allowing the things that fit their ideals. A site ran by hypocrites who have done nothing for the hobby they represent with their positions. A site where The left hand has no idea what the right is doing, and honestly doesn’t seem to care. A site where the people in charge have no vested interest in the community they are in charge of. A site where people who have done nothing but edit grammar are held in higher esteem than people who have cracked codes and reverse-engineered roms. A romhacking site that would let people who have never cracked a hex editor open determine whose work is valid or invalid.
To wrap it all up, here is a thread where the site owner attempts to clarify the rules, and hackers come in to justify why their small, low-effort, hacks are somehow better than anyone elses, and deserving of remaining in the database, and the owner essentially trying to wash his hands of the whole business. These are the “leaders” of the romhacking community, folks. People who cannot even decide on a internally consistent rules.
