Talking about TOS part 3
4) On ice cream and other basics of life
So, as things progressed it got to a point where, if anyone known to post at Baddesthacks posted in a conversation thread on the “General discussions” board, the threads was shortly locked, and/or deleted. Any kind of post on their part would lead to one of many users, such as the ones presented in part 2, to post, tossing out accusations and lies with impunity, and causing Badhackers to defend themselves, and thusly get warnings. This led to “safe” posts.
“safe” posts were essentially thread subjects that were increasingly stupid, to create less and less of a chance of offending, yet still allowing the creators to have a presence on the board.
The two most memorable of these were “how do you wipe”, and “What flavor ice cream do you like”. This will be an image and archive -lite episode, as both threads were nuked from orbit and no longer exist.
“How do you wipe?” started out as the most basic kind of shitpost. Oddly enough, many in the community joined in, and quite a bit was learned about just how other people remove waste after defecation. A few users complained about how juvenile the thread was, but were mostly ignored. I even offered up the official Islamicly approved methods for cleansing yourself. (http://www.myreligionislam.com/detail.asp?Aid=6096) This thread was eventually locked by moderators for being vulgar.
That led us to “ice cream”.
A thread was started, declaring that since all threads seemed to be locked or deleted, we would simply talk about Ice cream. A joke was then made about how that might upset the lactose intolerant, and user “MasterGwonam” posited that Milking cows was connected to “rape culture”. I.S.T. decided to flip out, declaring that MasterGwonams message had something to do with excuses made by “rapists and pedophiles”. the thread was summarily locked, after I.S.T.s post caused a complete derailment as nobody could figure out where she was coming from or why.
This eventually led to the most absurd ban message I’ve seen in a long time:
So how does a competent romhacker react to a situation like this?
With romhacking of course…..
