Talkin bout TOS part 2

3)Those who know (but really dont know)

So at this point we’ve mentioned a few names, and you’ve seen a few of the players on the stage. I’ve teased that some of them would be covered more in-depth. This section will mostly be images, left with little commentary, presenting some of the users who have been more vocal in either their harassment, their ignorance, or both often being left alone while the crossover users from BaddestHacks are attacked and berated for defending themselves. Another thing to keep in mind is that RHDN keeps a tally of your “contributions” to the site. Now, this will include not only “hacks” but also reviews, and even grammatical edits to reviews and the pages for “patches”. Many of the users with the highest post counts, and a few of the moderators (especially I.S.T.) will often have high contribution counts through editorial mean while having little to no knowledge or contributions in the way of actual content produced. I would post more but some of their “greatest hits” have been lost to the memory hole. To whit, here are a few.

We’ll start with “Spooniest” a user with over 2600 posts, and 72 contributions. (ranked #46) A good amount of his contributions are translation hacks, a few of which offer little more that “de-cringing” a translation of Final Fantasy 3, and one that only offers a change of display font. I could go through his post history and find some real gold, but i thought i’d just leave it at this gem and a reply:

Perhaps you would be more interested in “vortex” a user who would regularly do all they could to stir shit, which you may have already noticed of you read the archives in our section on Dr floppy’s temporary ban. He weighs in at a whopping 8 contributions, zero hacks. He was notorious for calling anyone he disagreed with a “nazi”, and even went so far as to hang out in the Baddesthacks chat to try to shame us by presenting our complaints about moderation as some sort of “evidence”. A delightful young man with 8 submissions, zero hacks and a post history so absurd, much of it has been blanked out:

(Accusations of Nazism are one of the most common insults hurled at BHDN users, as apparently deriding and laughing at something whilst drawing penises on it means you whole-heartedly support it for some reason.)

Perhaps a little bit from the moderators will help? Lets see how “I.S.T.” (32 contributions, 0 hacks) can threadshit, then DARVO, and how “Mathonnapkins” (3 contributions, 0 hacks, one utility plugin) will go out of his way to willfully ignore it:

standupforgwo

And of course we are also lead to Mathuser2929, a constant thorn in the side of every BHDN user for the entirety of the 8 month period covered here. He comes in with a whopping 655 contributions, ranked at number 5, and fourteen of those are hacks, mostly sprite swaps and palette changes.  there is so much of his jackassery its hard to even decide where to start, from his attacks, to him presenting himself as an expert on everything, we check all the “douchenozzle” boxes.

mathuserhasbraindamage

The highlights being him threadshitting in BHDN admin “Rotwang”‘s thread about his current project “death Fuck ’98” where he is working out how to re-arrange levels, bosses, and A.I. for the game “final Fight” for the SNES, and one where he seems upset someone is hacking a game he has hacked multiple times:

There are plenty of other examples of this that could be presented, but i did promise to keep this to whit, and will move on. An excellent example would be the “who are you voting for” thread, or at least it would be if pages worth of comments had not been deleted and rolled back so as to make those conversations appear to have never happened.
